The Deal
I booked this on a whim, mostly because the price was right. I wasn't expecting much beyond a bed and a pool.
Turned out to be one of those cases where the deal undersold itself. Breakfast was included, and on top of that they threw in $360 in food and beverage credits, which is basically covers everything.
Section II
Where I Actually Spent My Time
I didn't do much sightseeing. Most of the weekend was spent finding quiet corners of the resort to sit and decompress.
The standout was the Silver Bar near the main lobby. Good drink, good ambient noise, and it turned out to be a surprisingly solid spot to sit with a laptop and get work done.
Section III
Everything Under One Roof
The thing about a resort like this is you never really have to leave. Food, drinks, work spots, places to wander — it's all contained within the property.
That convenience is easy to underrate until you're the one not having to think about where to go next. I got more done this weekend than I expected to, precisely because I didn't have to plan around logistics.
Section IV
Would I Go Back
Yes, and I already have a reason: their Ice Festival during the Christmas season, which I've heard good things about.
For the price of the deal, the breakfast and credits alone nearly covered themselves. The rest — the quiet bar, the contained layout, the actual productivity — was a pleasant surprise on top.
