Seiko SSB003 - Silver Panda

Gear Review My Seiko SSB003 Arrival and Review *A budget-friendly chronograph with a retro racing aesthetic* 40mm Diameter 10mm Height +/-15 Accuracy (s/mo) 8 Model Variations Section I Aesthetics The Seiko SSB003 has finally arrived. It is a very nice watch that offers a sophisticated look at an accessible price point.   → Dial — Features a glossy silver finish rather than a true white; it is a highly appealing color that is difficult to capture in photos. → Sub-Dial — Three registers located at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock; the black color provides a sharp contrast against the silver dial. → Bracelet — A 20mm steel bracelet; while it feels somewhat cheap and rattly, it is functional and consistent with the Seiko 5 SNKK series. → Bezel — An interesting design feature; the watch utilizes a unibody case, meaning the bezel is integrated rather than a separate piece. → Size — A classic 40mm diameter with a 10mm height, providing a conservative, comfortable feel similar to an Omega Seama...

Seiko Chronograph SNDF, SNDD, SCEB series

Gear Review Exploring Seiko's SNDF and SCEB Lines A deep dive into retro aesthetics and the search for the perfect chronograph ~42mm Diameter 2025 Decision Year $299 Market Price Table of Contents ① The Seiko Hunt ② Technical Concerns and Bezel Issues ③ Expanding the Search: SNDD and SCEB Section I The Seiko Hunt Wow, there are indeed an endless number of Seiko models! The SNDF line stands out with its retro and classy vibes. Here are a few models I find particularly appealing: → SNDF35 — White/Red Stripe → SNDF37 — Black, Red Bezel → SNDF87 — White/Blue, Orange Seconds → SNDF93 — White/Blue, Yellow Seconds I’m considering picking one up, leaning towards the 87 or 93, but the 35 looks gorgeous too!   Section II Technical Concerns and Bezel Issues After some thought, I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger right away. The SNDF35 and SNDF37 models have a redundant 12-hour bezel, which doesn’t add much functional value. While their color schemes are nice, the extra hour mar...

Seiko SSB Chronograph Series

Gear Review Exploring Seiko Watches A deep dive into the versatile and affordable SSB chronograph series ~85 Models tracked ~$100 Starting price 1 Personal sentiment Section I The Seiko Obsession I have found myself thoroughly smitten with several Seiko models lately. The SSB007 chronograph is absolutely stunning, and it vividly reminds me of my very first watch, a humble Guess Chronograph. While that old Guess wasn't anything special from a horological standpoint, it holds significant sentimental value as my first piece. The Seiko SSB line bears a striking resemblance to that style, and with some models retailing for around $100 brand new on Amazon, they are incredibly accessible. I have also been eyeing the Arctura GMT model (SUN003) with its sleek black dial; it showcases truly futuristic curves and design language.   Choosing the Right SSB To help me narrow down the search, I have begun compiling a list of various models and styles to determine which one belongs on my wrist. ...

Audio Technica ATH-M50x - 6 Months -- Going Strong

Gear Review Audio Technica Experience Comparing the M50s and WM77s for daily use 3 Headphone Sets 1 Year Age ~0 Travel Usage Table of Contents ① The M50 Sound Signature ② The Office Solution ③ Final Verdict Section I The M50 Sound Signature Absolutely! The Audio Technica M50s really do sound better with age. Some people refer to it as "burning in," but I think it's more about getting used to their sound and becoming familiar with their audio signature.   Limitations and Use Cases However, there are limits to their use. The M50s block out external sound quite a bit, which isn't great at work when someone might be yelling my name across the office or cubicle, and I can't hear them. Plus, you can crank up the volume without realizing it, but others can definitely hear you since they leak sound quite a bit. They’re also not ideal when wearing glasses or while on the move, like walking or running. Tip: While they aren't great for the office or active movement, t...

Starbucks Iced Coffee in a Bottle

Food & Drink Studying at Home ~2 Days Studying 1 Store Visit 1 Favorite Drink 50 Calories Section I Fueling My Home Study Sessions This weekend, I'm studying at home and picked up some Starbucks drinks at the local grocery store. They taste surprisingly good and are cheaper than buying them at the actual Starbucks shop.
