I've been here 5 times in the past 2 years but never stayed more than a few hours. I remedied that and stayed 2 nights to catch up with how Los Angeles is doing. Overall it has the same vibe as when I remember it from a decade ago.

Day 1

Flight In to LAX & Hilton Hotel

Had some drinks and chilled.

Day 2

Santa Monica & Kagura Sushi in El Segundo

Starbucks for breakfast. Then Santa Monica and finished off at Kagura for dinner. Fun, cruising about.

→ Santa Monica Place & Pier — Cruising about, taking it all in
→ Kagura, El Segundo — Dinner. Umai! Followed by more beer and enjoying the hotel lobby.

Day 3

The Grove & Flight Home

→ McDonald's, Century Blvd — Breakfast before hitting the road
→ The Grove — Iced tea, a light lunch, and a goodbye to LA

Same vibe as a decade ago — LA is still LA. Worth finally sticking around for a couple of nights.
