The Appeal of Artisan Flour

I've been wanting a good baguette and pastries since enjoying Arsicault's in San Francisco.  While The Bread Club is not in the same league, it has decent offerings and is a fun place to relax for a bit in Downtown Dallas.

The New Business Shine

It appears to be a relatively new bakery so everything is sparkling new, well staffed and quality of food and drinks quite good.  Typically, after a year or so we can evaluate if a business will endure as some start to decline when cost cutting starts.

The real luxury isn't convenience; it's the quality of the ingredients and the time invested in creation and enjoyment.
The Simple Trade-Off

Of course, there are trade-offs. The bread is not cheap at around ~$7 a loaf, significantly more than a supermarket alternative. It also requires planning to drive into Downtown Dallas, ensuring I’m available. And sometimes, the variety is limited, meaning you get what you get. But these aren't criticisms; they're features.

I like it as it breaks up the monotony of life as I don't want to sit at a Starbucks and drink the same Americano or Iced Coffee.  Corporate mega chains while they give a sense of consistency also are boring after a while.

 

 

In a world of endless choices, sometimes just a good loaf of bread can be rewarding.
