Caravan Stories: Basic Walkthrough/Guide
*Master the world of Iyarr with these essential early-game strategies*
Overview
Welcome back to the world of Caravan Stories! Whether you're playing on PS4 or the Japanese PC version, here’s a comprehensive guide to help you navigate through the game. The two versions are fundamentally the same, but the PC version offers better bonuses, like the availability of 5-star gear for characters like Sophia.
Section I — The Five Basic Goals
1. Complete the Four Starter Races — Start with Human, Elf, Dwarf, and Orc. Completing the stories and reincarnating opens new options and locations. 2. Start with the Human Story — The Human story grants you the powerful S-Class character, Sophia, who can carry you through much of the game. 3. Build a Good Team — Assemble a balanced team with diverse character types and classes. 4. Upgrade Your Caravan — Prioritize internal upgrades first, then focus on external enhancements. 5. Learn to Kite — While many battles can be auto-played, some require manual dodging and movement. Mastering the kiting technique will help you in tougher fights, like Emily's 2nd mission.
Section II — Building a Good Team
When assembling your team, consider these five aspects:
- →Type — Match elemental types (Wind, Earth, Water, Fire) for bonuses.
- →Class — Include a mix of roles (Tank, Mage, Buffer, Jammer, Healer).
- →Gear — Equip the best weapons and sub-gear.
- →Skills — Make sure your characters have complementary skills.
- →Star Level — Higher star levels improve character effectiveness.
- →Tank — Sophia
- →Healer — Fholk (consider replacing with Slaveia or Paylan later)
- →Mage — Lena
- →Jammer — Alotie
- →Buffer — Rolomeu (may take time to unlock)
- →DPS — To be determined
Section III — Progression & Management
- →Sophia — Get her 5-star gear through daily login gifts on the PC version.
- →Support Characters — Upgrade Fholk and Lena to 3 and 4 stars to receive their respective gear for free.
Characters can be upgraded using anima, with maximum levels reaching up to six stars:
| Anima Required | Star Level |
|---|---|
| 10 | 2 Star |
| 20 | 3 Star |
| 50 | 4 Star |
| 100 | 5 Star |
| 200 | 6 Star |
- →Daily Anima — Collect up to 10 from characters in your Caravan.
- →Recall Missions — Complete missions for tokens to redeem Anima.
- →Character Stories — Progress through character stories and complete upgrade missions.
Section IV — Efficiency Tips
Maximize internal upgrades first by constructing and enhancing all available components at your current level. After reaching a decent level, start working on external upgrades, focusing on obtaining a freeze gun and upgrading poison guns.
- →Auto-Sell Rules — Sell low-level items (1 or 2 star) automatically unless needed for quests.
- →Gear Recipes — Sell recipes for characters you don't own to free up space.
- →Daily Missions — Complete these for valuable rewards and tokens.
- →Gold Mining — Access the daily gold mine, unlocking the 2nd level, and use characters with drop rate bonuses to maximize your gains.
- →Auto Fighting — Set a character with a 10% gold gain bonus as your leader, and configure auto-sell rules to optimize your earnings during long play sessions.
- →Philosopher Tower — For late-game, gather experience orbs efficiently by mining in the tower's second level.
- →NPC Quests — Complete NPC quests to earn gold and jewels, even exceeding your limits.
- →Phantasm & Gacha — Save your phantasm for gacha rolls and look out for special offers. You can accumulate around 30k phantasm throughout the early game.
Section V — Future Goals
As you continue, focus on building a robust 4-star team. Currently, you’re aiming to assemble a team consisting of Sophia, Elf Avatar, Slaveia, Rolomeu, Alotie, and Lili. Determine the best DPS to complement your setup while upgrading Lena.
