Section I — Flight to ICN

I recently took my last international trip of the year, visiting Seoul, South Korea, via Incheon Airport (ICN). It was a brief visit, lasting a few days, during which I stayed with relatives. The trip was uneventful in the best way, filled with relaxation, shopping, and enjoying various restaurants around town. I flew in economy class, and I must say the service and amenities were quite good. Free beer, free movies, and a palatable meal made the journey enjoyable.

  • Chicken and Rice Combo — The main meal, which warmed up nicely. The Kochujang sauce was a brilliant addition, making it quite delicious.
  • Shin Ramen — Served later in the flight. It was my first time having it on a plane, but I found it too salty. I ended up just eating the noodles and skipping the soup.
  • Beverages — I stuck with more beer during the flight!

Section II — Day 2: The Delivery Party

This day was dedicated to a delivery food party. We stayed in and ordered four different meals, although I only remembered to snap a picture of the Tonkatsu Bento.

  • Chachamyun + Tansuyok — Black bean noodles and sweet and sour pork.
  • Fried Chicken & Beer — Often referred to as "ChiMek."
  • Cheesy Pizza — A heavy, cheese-laden pie.
  • Tonkatsu Bento — A Japanese-style breaded pork cutlet box.

Section III — Day 3: Lotte Mall & Dining

To escape the expensive air conditioning at home, we spent the day at the shopping malls. I lost track of where we ended up but think it was a Lotte-branded mall.

Dining Experiences

Lunch featured Mexican food, which felt a bit odd but tasted decent. For dessert, we tried Patbingsu (Green Tea Style) and a refreshing citrus/green tea drink. Dinner featured fried pork, which brought back memories.

Note: While it was interesting to have Western-style foods with a Korean spin, I sometimes crave that traditional Korean cuisine. This meal, although not traditional, was heavy on protein and tasted excellent.

Section IV — Return Home via ICN

As my trip came to an end, I took my time at the airport. I had about an hour to relax, but I was too tired and just waited by the gate.

A relaxing final international getaway for the year.

Sony MDR-ZX100 vs ZX-110 vs ZX-310 Series Headphones

Gear Review Budget Audio Face-off: Sony ZX Series Review Comparing the ZX-100, ZX-110, and ZX-310 for your everyday carry ~3 Models ~$10–$20 Price 2.5+ Years Longevity Table of Contents ① Build Quality ② Cost Comparison ③ Sound Quality ④ Overall Value ⑤ Upgrade Path Section I Build Quality The Sony ZX series headphones primarily feature a durable plastic construction. My ZX-100 has lasted over 2½ years, enduring countless tosses into my backpack and car without any issues. However, the lower-end ZX-100 and ZX-110 models have a significant downside: poor-quality earpads.   The Earpad Problem Over time, the earpads on the ZX-100 and ZX-110 disintegrate, leaving vinyl flakes that stick to your hair and ears. The ZX-310 comes with upgraded earpads that don't suffer from this problem — a clear win in the build department. Tip: If your earpads start to flake, it is a sign of material degradation; consider replacing the cushions or upgrading to a model with more durable synthetic lea...

While features are always a plus, my main priority is size. Here's how some of the models I've tried stack up. 5600 Series For overall size, the 5600 series stands out as a favorite due to its compact, comfortable form. It's slim, lightweight, and fits well on my wrist without being too bulky. Although the 6900 series provides the benefit of a well-placed front illumination button, the 5600 remains the ideal size for everyday wear.   Section II Best Compromise: G900...
