Combat Fundamentals

I have been testing and researching strategies for Onigiri, and here are some key points I've developed for effective gameplay.

Combat Efficiency
  • Focus on Quality Skills — Prioritize high-quality skills over high-grade weapons or raw damage ratings to boost combat effectiveness.
  • Spam Skills — Utilize SP recovery potions frequently. They are inexpensive compared to HP sushi, allowing you to spam skills for one-hit kills and faster dungeon clears.
Gear Optimization
  • White Class Weapons — Aim for white class items and bronze drops. They are significantly cheaper to smelt and enhance; a +50 white sword with good skills often outperforms a gold weapon at a fraction of the cost.
  • Maximize Affinity — Invest stat points into a single star to hit 3,000 affinity. Use +% affinity magatama early on, then transition to +% Skill Force magatama to maintain damage output later in the game.
Tactical Mastery
  • Learn Monster Patterns — Study enemy rhythms. Most monsters, like the Kappa, have a pause after major attacks, providing the perfect window for a counter-assault.
  • Manage Boss Mechanics — Be aware of unique boss behaviors, such as the Daruma’s invincible mode, which requires you to clear his henchmen before he can be defeated.
Focus on Skill Force magatama to maintain your ability to one-hit kill enemies, especially by the time you reach Sekigahara.

Ryou Farming Guide

Yakumo Temple in Kyoto is the prime location for gold farming. By stacking specific items and managing clear times, you can maximize your income.

Hell ModeOptimized clearing~200k Ryou
  • Gold Stacking — Equip four Kanmon Magatama for a potential 100% gold gain, combined with the 30% daily login bonus.
  • Efficiency — Aim to complete 18–20 runs per hour to net between 3 and 4 million ryou.
  • Bonus Loot — Keep an eye out for treasure chests during your runs, which contain valuable HP items like squid, octopus, and ootoro.
Happy grinding, and may your drops be legendary.

Sony MDR-ZX100 vs ZX-110 vs ZX-310 Series Headphones

Gear Review Budget Audio Face-off: Sony ZX Series Review Comparing the ZX-100, ZX-110, and ZX-310 for your everyday carry ~3 Models ~$10–$20 Price 2.5+ Years Longevity Table of Contents ① Build Quality ② Cost Comparison ③ Sound Quality ④ Overall Value ⑤ Upgrade Path Section I Build Quality The Sony ZX series headphones primarily feature a durable plastic construction. My ZX-100 has lasted over 2½ years, enduring countless tosses into my backpack and car without any issues. However, the lower-end ZX-100 and ZX-110 models have a significant downside: poor-quality earpads.   The Earpad Problem Over time, the earpads on the ZX-100 and ZX-110 disintegrate, leaving vinyl flakes that stick to your hair and ears. The ZX-310 comes with upgraded earpads that don't suffer from this problem — a clear win in the build department. Tip: If your earpads start to flake, it is a sign of material degradation; consider replacing the cushions or upgrading to a model with more durable synthetic lea...

While features are always a plus, my main priority is size. Here's how some of the models I've tried stack up. 5600 Series For overall size, the 5600 series stands out as a favorite due to its compact, comfortable form. It's slim, lightweight, and fits well on my wrist without being too bulky. Although the 6900 series provides the benefit of a well-placed front illumination button, the 5600 remains the ideal size for everyday wear.   Section II Best Compromise: G900...
