Weapon Strategy

I’ve been experimenting with different character types and have settled on a build centered around the Odachi and Katana swords, prioritizing Power stats. Learning as I go, I’ve made good progress, reaching the Izumo Rest Area after about a week of casual play.

Odachi for Group Fights

The Odachi is a long sword that, while slower than a Katana, offers greater attack power and a wider attack range. This makes it particularly effective for dealing with medium-sized mobs. Its area of effect allows you to hit multiple enemies, which is perfect for crowd control in group encounters.

Katana for Surgical Fights

On the other hand, the Katana excels in fast-paced, one-on-one situations. It’s ideal for quick boss strikes or duels against single enemies. The Katana's speed allows you to unleash several skills in rapid succession, making it an effective choice for taking down tougher foes quickly.

Section II

Stat Focus: Affinity for Damage

My main goal is to maximize Affinity, which translates to increased damage against enemies. I’m funneling all my stat points into Power, which enhances both sword and Odachi affinity, thus boosting my overall attack rating.

The maximum affinity I’m aiming for is 3,000, which includes any percentage increases from items like magatama.

Weapons in Use

Currently, I'm using basic gold weapons I’ve come across during my journey. These weapons may not be the flashiest, but they provide solid enhancements.

Weapon TypePrimary UtilityStat Enhancement
OdachiCrowd Control+10 to +50
KatanaBoss/Single Target+10 to +50
  • Gold Weapons — Standard gear found during the journey, lacking unique features but providing consistent stat boosts as I progress through the game.
Stay tuned as I continue to optimize my build and push toward the 3,000 affinity milestone.

Sony MDR-ZX100 vs ZX-110 vs ZX-310 Series Headphones

Gear Review Budget Audio Face-off: Sony ZX Series Review Comparing the ZX-100, ZX-110, and ZX-310 for your everyday carry ~3 Models ~$10–$20 Price 2.5+ Years Longevity Table of Contents ① Build Quality ② Cost Comparison ③ Sound Quality ④ Overall Value ⑤ Upgrade Path Section I Build Quality The Sony ZX series headphones primarily feature a durable plastic construction. My ZX-100 has lasted over 2½ years, enduring countless tosses into my backpack and car without any issues. However, the lower-end ZX-100 and ZX-110 models have a significant downside: poor-quality earpads.   The Earpad Problem Over time, the earpads on the ZX-100 and ZX-110 disintegrate, leaving vinyl flakes that stick to your hair and ears. The ZX-310 comes with upgraded earpads that don't suffer from this problem — a clear win in the build department. Tip: If your earpads start to flake, it is a sign of material degradation; consider replacing the cushions or upgrading to a model with more durable synthetic lea...

While features are always a plus, my main priority is size. Here's how some of the models I've tried stack up. 5600 Series For overall size, the 5600 series stands out as a favorite due to its compact, comfortable form. It's slim, lightweight, and fits well on my wrist without being too bulky. Although the 6900 series provides the benefit of a well-placed front illumination button, the 5600 remains the ideal size for everyday wear.   Section II Best Compromise: G900...
