The Selection Process

I recently stopped by the Swatch shop and, after some deliberation, I decided to go with the 'Faux Fox' model SUOB709 instead of the Sistem51. While I was initially leaning toward something more vibrant, trying on various models made me realize that this subdued, classic look fits my personal style much better.

 

Purchase Details

I paid full retail for the watch at $70. While I noticed it is available online for about $15–20 less, the convenience of the shop experience and immediate ownership felt worth the slight premium.

Why I Chose This Model

I really like this watch because it fills a specific niche in my rotation. It sits perfectly between a classic analog automatic and a rugged G-Shock digital, making it ideal for casual wear where I don’t have to worry too much about it getting a few scratches.

  • →Comfort — It is casual and lightweight, making it great for daily use.
  • →Water Resistance — Unfortunately, it lacks water resistance, so I’ll have to keep it away from the pool or any water-based activities.
Tip: If you are deciding between models, always try them on in-store. I found that my aesthetic preference shifted once I actually had the watches on my wrist.
